Strangers Helping Strangers

We were in a rush to get to our next activity and pulled into McDonalds for a bite to eat. Because time was a deciding factor we opted for the drive-thru window and placed our order. To our surprise and delight there was no charge for all we ordered; the person in front of us paid for our order! It sure made my day so I decided to pay it forward and paid the bill for the car behind us.

A few days later I bumped into a friend who works at McDonalds and she said, "The pay-it-forward activity went on for about 15 minutes." She smiled remembering how amazed she was and just how wonderful it felt to witness this. She said she could feel the happy, uplifted spirit of all the Mcdonald's staff as well as the amazement and pleasure of the customers coming through the drive-thru when they heard their meal was free!

It was a marvelous day indeed for all who were in any way connected to this event. For me it confirms there are angels among us to brighten our day!
